GoToManage is built on an open platform that continually improves as its user community grows. That's how we make sure that IT professionals benefit from the wisdom of their peers (and are recognized for their contributions to the community). You can improve GoToManage and take advantage of the experience and efforts of others in the following ways:
- Publish searches, queries, and dashboard views
Search queries can be saved and published to the GoToManage community for anyone to use. Also, if you create that perfect server management, asset tracking, or you-name-it Dashboard view, you can share the template for others to use. - Create GoToManage Crawler plugins
Extend the GoToManage Crawler and the type of IT data that can be indexed by writing Crawler plugins. The Crawler has a built-in Ruby interpreter that makes writing plugins easy. And if you are so inclined, you can write your own Crawler, since the communication protocol is open and documented.
