GoToManage enables you to collect everything and create a system-of-record for your IT and Operations - no matter where your applications are running. Automate the collection of all your on-premises and cloud-based data and index, search, and visualize it with no hassle.

The GoToManage service works with the Amazon CloudWatch API to gather EC2 resource utilization, performance, and overall user demand patterns. This includes critical metrics for ensuring operational excellence such as CPU utilization, disk reads and writes, and network traffic. GoToManage tracks all of the EC2 data and delivers real-time resource monitoring and capacity analysis capabilities. You can take advantage of the charts and dashboards that are pre-built for you (or made available by other GoToManage users in the GoToManage community section) or create your own using our powerful SQL-like query syntax. It only takes about five minutes to start monitoring your applications that are located in the cloud. The new release of the GoToManage Crawler (which does the data gathering for you) includes the Amazon plugin. The open source GoToManage Crawler was built to be easy to extend, so gathering new sources of data is a snap. The new Amazon EC2 plugin is written in Ruby. And when you configure the plugin in the "Crawlers" application in your GoToManage account (with your EC2 credentials), it will query Amazon's CloudWatch API every five minutes and gather and index the last five minutes of every available statistic.
